AQI by ZIP

Smoke from wildfires is one of the largest health impacts of US fire seasons. Air-quality readings come from EPA AirNow's network of regulatory monitors. For current readings, check AirNow.gov or the Fire and Smoke Map; FireVerge does not show live AQI yet.

About AirNow data

EPA AirNow aggregates near-real-time PM2.5, ozone, and other pollutant readings from federal, state, and tribal monitors across the US. FireVerge does not yet display these readings itself; each ZIP page links to AirNow for the current value. See our wildfire smoke guide for what each AQI band means for your health.
