FireVerge is built to inform, not to profile you. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
FireVerge collects minimal information from visitors:
We do not create user accounts, store passwords, or collect payment information. We do not operate a newsletter or ask for your email address.
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
The fire, wildfire, and air-quality data shown on FireVerge comes from public U.S. government sources — including the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) from FEMA's U.S. Fire Administration, the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), the U.S. Forest Service, the National Weather Service, EPA AirNow, and NASA FIRMS. This is public-domain data and does not identify you. See our Data Sources page for the full list.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. One localStorage key (fv-theme) remembers your light/dark theme preference on your own device — it never leaves your browser. Any analytics provider we use may set standard, non-identifying cookies as described in its own privacy policy.
FireVerge relies on a small number of third-party services:
fonts.googleapis.comFireVerge is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
